All Time Low @ Hammerstein Ballroom

The first time I heard of All Time Low was at the MTV Woodie Awards 2 years ago. They were up for best new video or skinniest band or something. I remember thinking that I was officially out of touch with what the kids are listening to. Because the kids went nuts when they played. So when the opportunity  came up to shoot them I thought I should see what they were really all about.

When I finally got into the photo pit I was immediately told that I had to leave because they were filming a DVD. Why the hell did they have me come shoot the show in the first place then?? I was told I could shoot from the sound board. I would leave before I did that. So as I walked off to the side I stuck around and blended in with the film crew. I had a similar badge so I figured if I wasn’t in their way no one would care. And it worked. So I shot the entire show. Normally I leave after the first three songs but the energy at the show was amazing.

I found out that I’m not necessarily out of touch with what the kids are listening to, I’m just not a teenage girl. Now there are alot of you who know me would beg to differ with my love of Buffy, Twilight books and Passion Pit. But this was something different. The show was 95% screaming teenage girls throwing their bras onstage. And All Time Low ate up every second of it.

haha, you made me laugh with the writing in here.
Your photos are definitely transpiring the energy the show had. I am an old girl ATL fan to tell you. It is all to blame on the teens in my house.
    I loved your pictures.
