Behind the scenes with Brit and Alex

A few years ago when I started taking photos I had the opportunity to do some behind the scenes coverage of a photo shoot for the pop duo Brit and Alex. I knew Brit and Alex from the John Frieda Sheet Blonde commercials that were out at the time but that was it. The shoot was for publicity of the album they were working on. It was the first time I had been to a photo shoot so I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. I do remember being nervous though.

I was asked to be a fly on the wall so that was perfect. I talked to the photographer and asked if he had any rules regarding where I could be. I remember not wanting to get in the way. He was very cool about everything and my nervousness soon went away as I started shooting. Its been awhile so I don’t remember alot of the details but the experience great. I got to see for the first time all that goes into a shoot. Hair, makeup, clothing all were as equally important as the actual photography. Oh one thing I do remember was the photographer was shooting all film. Its funny to think looking back how old school that is.

And as far as Brit and Alex went, they were super nice. I’m not sure what happened with their album. I did see their songs pop up on The Hills and the Step Up 2 soundtrack.
